Fanari: The Window to the North Aegean

In the heart of Northern Greece, hidden is Fanari, a place of unique beauty and history. This small but picturesque place offers a unique experience to those looking to explore more of Greek heritage and natural beauty. When it comes to the sea gates of the North Aegean, Fanari stands out as one of the most picturesque and least explored destinations. This small but charming place hides in its arms stories, traditions and a landscape that fascinates the visitor.

Fanari is not only known for its natural beauty, but also for its lively history. Since ancient times, the region has been a crossroads of cultures and trade routes.

In the past the area formed part of a Muslim farm and was known as “Fener”, from the lighthouse that stood there: and because of this the name Fanari was finally chosen.
